Fortress Gate The most secure gate with the maximum number of guard slots. It also shows more detailed information about arriving survivor groups. Reinforced Gate A reinforced gate has more guard slots and protects the colony against stronger enemies. An evolving colony also attracts bandits, but the guarded gate can protect the colony against most weak attackers. This also opens up the colony for survivor groups that start arriving with requests to join the colony.
The Gate The gate opens up the world around the colony for exploration and sending specialists beyond the colony becomes possible. With a gate specialists can be sent to explore the world map.
